The mission of Great Falls College MSU is to educate and inspire you.

The vision of Great Falls College MSU is to strengthen communities through excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

Following an accreditation site visit by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities in 2015, Great Falls College MSU began developing a new seven-year strategic plan. The plan will guide the college as it moves forward and works to achieve the new mission to: educate and inspire you. The strategic plan for Great Falls College MSU was approved by the College Planning, Budget and Analysis Committee (CPBAC), in August 2016.

The seven-year strategic plan focuses on:

Academic Workforce Development
Provide health sciences, trades, business and computer degrees and certificates that lead to meaningful employment.

Transfer Preparation
Provide the Montana University System core and transfer degrees that allow for seamless transfer into educational programs at other institutions.

Academic Preparation
Provide developmental education and cooperating with Adult Education to prepare students for college-level studies.

Community Development
Provide community enrichment courses to individuals seeking to improve their skills and knowledge and to enrich their lives; providing a vibrant community gathering space for cultural events, celebrations, meetings, debates and presentations; provide customized and post-employment training for regional employers.

The plan calls for the college to work closely with partners in education, business, and industry to enable more students to succeed in achieving their educational goals. The strategic plan is a living document reviewed each year to ensure the college's efforts are innovative, adaptable, and relevant to identified needs. This provides a foundation for a better future for Great Falls College MSU students, its communities, and the state of Montana.
