GREAT FALLS — A community celebration of American Indian Heritage Day will be held Friday, Sept. 22, at Great Falls College MSU, 2100 16th Avenue South.
American Indian Heritage Day provides an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to honor the Native American culture and gain insight into native traditions. Activities for the day include:
“The goal of Native American Heritage Day is to share the beauty and history of the American Indian culture with students, faculty and staff at the college, as well as to raise awareness of the Native American Enrichment Center on campus,” said Joshua Archey, Student Activities Coordinator at GFC MSU.
The Native American Enrichment Center at Great Falls College MSU focuses on fostering the learning and success of all students at the college, while also providing American Indian students a place of cultureand heritage where they can gather and study with peers.
The American Indian Heritage Day events are free and open to the public.
