A NIGHT OUT FOR SCIENCE RETURNS TO GREAT FALLS COLLEGE MSU
Great Falls, MT—Join Great Falls College MSU and embark on New Frontiers in STEM education with the second annual Night Out for Science on Saturday, April 2, 2016. This year’s Night Out for Science fundraiser will begin at 6:00 p.m. with appetizers in the atrium at Great Falls College MSU, which is located at 2100 16th Avenue South in Great Falls.
A Night Out for Science is a fun and unique fundraiser which will highlight the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields available at Great Falls College MSU. This event will showcase not only the great education a student can receive, but also the incredible faculty members who teach it.
This Montana-formal event gives guests the opportunity to engage in hands-on STEM activities. Then during dinner, guests will enjoy a formal, sit-down meal where they can use forceps and scalpels to eat, while listening to some exceptional mini STEM presentations. After dinner, the evening will close with a champagne toast from test tubes, and dessert made on site and served from the back of an ambulance in the college’s fully simulated hospital.
Last year, A Night Out for Science raised more than $33,000 benefitting scholarships for students who were pursuing STEM fields of study. These funds established a new STEM endowment, and also gave eight Great Falls College MSU students scholarships during the 2015/ 2016 academic year.
