The purpose of the Safety Committee is to provide education and training to reduce the incidence of occupational injury and illness among employees. The committee promotes safety in the workplace to promote a safer working environment for all employees and to control the costs of claims for workers’ compensation insurance.
Faculty members serve a 2-year term.

Establish a formal Safety Committee to promote a safe and healthful environment in alignment with Montana University System (MUS) policies, Montana Code Annotated (MCA), and OSHA standards, by providing oversight for campus safety programs including laboratories, facilities and administrative areas.
