Science Fair judges still needed
Judges are still needed for the regional middle and high school science fairs on March 5. It also is not too late for students to enter projects for the March 5 fairs or the March 7 elementary fair.
GREAT FALLS — The regional middle and high school science fairs at Great Falls College on March 5 could still use more judges, said Charla Merja, science fair coordinator at the college.
“We already have 176 students committed to coming to the fairs that day,” Merja said. “We can use more help with judges. You do not need a science background to serve as a judge. It’s such a great way to meet and learn from some of the creative minds of our youth. They will blow you away with their projects.”
It also is not too late for students to sign up for the middle school and high school fairs on Tuesday, March 5, or for the elementary fair at Great Falls College on Thursday, March 7.
To sign up to judge, go to www.gfcmsu.edu/sciencefair/judges.html
Students can register until midnight on Feb. 29 at www.gfcmsu.edu/sciencefair.
Students from schools throughout northcentral Montana compete in the fairs, with top prize winners in the high school division earning a trip to Los Angeles later this spring for the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair.
